As usual, we worked late last night. No kids and no pets waiting for attention and care. We once vacation sat a Poodle for friends for a couple of weeks and couldn't believe how much time it took, what with walking the dog, etc.

A friend has four dogs and two cats. He walks them a couple of times a day and he and his wife spend $100 a month on food. Who knows what they spend on vets, etc.

Let's see, $1,200 a year almost pays the insurance on two of our cars.
